The speed of a filesystem goes down dramaticly when it's almost full (due to 
fragmentation).
So on FreeBSD, 90% actual disk usage is shown as "100%". A normal user can't 
write more to the disk than this 90%. Only root is allowed to fill up the 
remaining free bytes.
(Conclusion : Your disk still isn't entirely full, but it would be faster if 
you would clean it up :)
