hallo friends, after installing FreeBSD 2.2.6-RELEASE on a new machine we have problems with rebooting it. After shutdown with 'shutdown -r now' it says this: -------------------------------------------------------------- *** FINAL System shutdown message from root@three.zutom.sk *** System going down IMMEDIATELY Jul 12 02:11:56 three shutdown: reboot by root: Jul 12 02:11:56 three shutdown: reboot by root: System shutdown time has arrived Jul 12 02:11:58 three /kernel: pid 179 (reboot), uid 0: exited on signal 11 (core dumped) --------------------------------------------------------------------- After reboot with 'reboot': --------------------------------------------------------------------- three# reboot Jul 12 02:16:12 three /kernel: pid 185 (reboot), uid 0:exited on signal 11 (cor e dumped) Segmentation fault (core dumped) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Shutdown 'shutdown now' is working fine. Only possible reboot can be done with ctrl+alt+del. Our machine configuration is: -M/B QDI Pentium II LX chipset -CPU Intel Celeron 266 -2x32M SDRAM DIMM -HDD 4.33GB Maxtor EIDE -3C509B ISA -Expert Color VGA S3TRIO64V2 PCI please help us to remove this problem.
