Answers to your question:
1. su yourself to root right, and do a 'passwd' will change your root =
password.
2. Use Sendmail (come w/ FreeBSD, make sure you have the later version)
3. use 'ftp' to get your tar file and put it in the directory and do =
'tar xfv tarfile.tar' or 'tar xfvz tarfile.tar.gz'
Except your first and third question, the mail could be a huge topic. =
You better get yourself some books to familiar your on this topic.

  Subject: Unix help

We are running our own server, located at our ISP. We are running =
Unix=20
FreeBSD with Apache server. We telnet into the server when necessary. =

We are needing to know three things:=20
  1. How can we change our su password?=20
  2. What do we need to have to be able to offer our Online Community=20
Members their own email account using our domain, for example:=20
  username@fishhunt.org?=20
  3. What do we need to have to download a .tar file, transfer the .tar =

file to Unix, decompress it and install appropriate files?=20
As you can tell we are very new to this and we have a lot of questions =

that we are having great difficulty finding answers to.=20
If you are able to reply to this email, please type in layman's terms, =

we are not familiar with all the technical terms yet.=20
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.=20
