I wouldn't be so quick to call it a flaw in FreeBSD. After I upgraded
my desktop's Windows partition from 95 to ME, FreeBSD would hang at
processor detection unless I power cycled my computer first. I tend to
think of that as a Windows problem.

It's a good suggestion though.
