:I think that the answer provided below is a bit harsh. I have installed :FreeBSD on a machine with both Windows NT/95 installed an have not had any :problems trashing the hard drive. It was meant to show the ignorance of some people, the people who can't sit down for five minutes and read a short little man page or readme off of the web. :Firstly, a product like Partition Magic can easily create the necessary :partition for FreeBSD. Yes your drive must have a partition for FreeBSD, and :Partition Magic is a good way to do it. Sure enough. :Secondly, the FreeBSD boot manager will allow you to dual boot FreeBSD and :Windows NT/95. Uhh huh. :Read the related information an the FreeBSD web page under documentation and if :you have further questions, post them to this mailing list. If you can get a :copy of The Complete FreeBSD all the information you need to do this install is :contained in it in an easy reading format. This book is worth its' weight in :gold. Hence, that is basically what I had said. (See Below) :> Yes, installing FreeBSD will completely kill your hard drive. This has :> happened many times. Once this happens, your hard drive is rendered :> useless. In order to fix it, you must go to: :> :> http://www.freebsd.org/ :> :> and read the manuals and the install guide.
