Hello, raviprasad20@netscape.net <raviprasad20@netscape.net> napisal(a): > Hi, > I couldn't start xwindows. The problem was traced to display card driver. My card is Intel 810-chipset based display card. > Tell me where can i get this driver. > I have the free BSD power pack 4.2stable (10 cd's) Can u tell which of the CD's i have has an X-Windlows to support the above display card. > regrds > ravi prasad There is no problem. You need to add device agp to your kernel configuration. Then you need to create /etc/X11/XF86Config (eg. with xf86config). In X 4.0.3 there is possibility to choose i810 card -- in earlier versions you need to put i810 configuration yourself (card id. "i810" -- that's all). You need also to have i810 x-srever (as module, while installing X from ports). It's running fine on my i810 based card. For more infos try google.com with +FreeBSD +i810; Intel site is outdated (for linux only :( ).
