1. Buy the modem, and plug it into a free serial port.
2. Make sure your kernel has serial port support.  Copy the 'device sio'
   lines from GENERIC if you're running a custom kernel which doesn't already
   have serial support in.
3. Configure your software to use the modem, using /dev/cuaa0 for the first
  serial port, /dev/cuaa1 for the second, and so on.
