That is /boot/kernel.conf trying to disable the ed0 driver 
that you don't have installed anyway.

After you get the driver installed, you will need to take the 
"di ed0" statement out of /boot/kernel.conf before things will 
work (at least I think you will, unless it doesn't affect PCI 
cards).
