I run FreeBsd 2.8 and sendmail 8.9.3 .. My system has been name gw.xxx.com that was assigned by my then ISP 7 years ago and now it's showing on many email spam lists. When I rename my system to xxx.com, I do not longer get incomming email notification. biff is set to Y in both cases. I have modified the rc* initilization files and rebooted, no help. I can set hostname from the working gw.xxx, com to xxx.com without rebooting and same problem. Changing the hostname back to gw.xxx.com solves the problem without rebooting. Any ideas??
