Greetings, Question: How the heck to backup FreeBSD using BackupExec's latest Unix Agent? I'm in an NT/2000/Solaris shop where we are installing FreeBSD (Release 4.2) on some new servers (will ultimately be DNS Web and Sendmail servers). Problem is, our current NT backup solution - Veritas BackupExec 7.3's Unix Agent - has no support for FreeBSD. To control the Unix Agent install process, instead of hacking the INSTALL, I manually installed (Ver 5.01 Rev 5.030). After some tweaking, I got the backup software to recognize files and directories. However, mounted drives are NOT showing up. Even Symbolic links to the mount points don't show up in the backupexec gui. Here's what's kind of spooky: Sometimes they're there but most of the time they're not. I've covered all the FreeBSD bases I can think of to get it to work: -Configured the kernel so that it understands Linux binaries -Installed runtime libraries the Linux binaries depend on -Branded the agent binary(s) for Linux -Tried different agent binaries (Linux, Linux_old, Unknown, SCO, and others) Any ideas on how to get the agent to work?
