Hi.. This is a Perl5 regex from some PD utility: $email =~ s/^.*?(From|Received|Sender|Return-Path|Date):/$1:/s; I want to do it in Perl4 -- don't ask why ;) -- but it pukes on the ^.*? stuff. Something about "nested" whatever. Could somebody explain this ^.*? to me or point me to an appropriate mailing list?
