I am just talking about putting all the ftp config files in /etc/ftp and then all daemon dir's in /etc/daemons. But as I was told, this will be to much work. > Discuss how this will improve the system, rather than just calling the > existing implementation "not designed" and flinging around a few > directory trees. I said in the very first mail, that this is not a well thought out plan. I have never said or hinted that the people who designed /etc are buffoons (what ever that is), so just relax! But a lot of files have be add to /etc and I was asking you if we could clean it up and gave a suggestion of how it could be done, regarding daemons. The reason to do this was to make user access, daemons configuration and logging more simple, which would improve security. br db To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-arch" in the body of the message
