It's understandable that a known, tested version is desirable for the base system but having the port marked broken seems wrong to me. Is there some conflict I am not aware of that forces this situation? I'm concerned that tracking -stable might cause modules installed with CPAN and /usr/bin/perl to be spammed by installworld. We'd rather install supplements from a /usr/local prefixed perl5 installation to avoid those problems. (Sorry if this is a FAQ).
