GNU feh! Flex is really BSD flex developed by Vern Paxson at LBL (Berkeley). Bison is a rip off of Robert Corbett's Byacc (which was donated to BSD/CSRG) where they originally added a small bit if functionality and relicensed the whole thing under the GPV (which I hear upset him). That said, please try the base lex & flex; you will probably find they will work just fine for this port. > How one can check quickly whether the application > actually needs GNU bison features? If byacc will generate a parser file that is compilable, then you don't need Bison. Or you can just touch the *.[ch] files generated from the .y file to make the Makefile think a regeneration is not needed. -- -- David (obrien@NUXI.com) To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ports" in the body of the message
