Hi all. I got around to compiling the kernel for 3.3-RELEASE and it works ok, but I get error messages on boot up in /var/run/messages. The odd thing is that I commented out the devices that it is trying to configure. In the messages file I get lines like: /kernel: config> di ze0 /kernel: No such device: ze0 /kernel: Invalid command or syntax. Type `?' for help. The devices this affects are ze0, lnc0, le0, ie0, fe0, ep0, cs0, wt0, mcd0, matcdc0. I'm a bit confused since they don't only cover NIC's, but proprietary CD stuff etc as well - and, as I said before, they've been commented out from the configuration file. Any suggestions (anatomically possible suggestions preferred). Cheers Phillip To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
