In other words, the code does not care about this philosophical discussion. If someone wants to have a robust, well-supported API for ZFS, then they (the person who wants it, ideally, since motivation is 9/10ths of the battle) should work on making that happen. The OpenZFS project has been pretty good about accepting contributions. Its biggest challenge is simply that there aren’t enough people volunteering to contribute. My sensors detect a potential volunteer. :) - Jordan
