[-- Attachment #1 --] I am having trouble installing FreeBSD 2.2.5 on my computer. I have a Pentium 200 MMX w/ 64meg and two EIDE drives. The first drive is 1.6 meg and has Win95 on it. The second drive is 3.5 meg and has nothing on it. My plan is to install FreeBSD on the second drive and use my BIOS to boot to that drive. Installation proceeds well, computer reboots, and the kernal starts then lists the drivers but at the very end the system says "panic: cannot mount root". Problem may be disk geometry. Drive is 7237 cyls 15 heads 63 sectors. BIOS reads the drive as 848 cyls 128 heads 63 sectors. I have tried having a DOS partition on the drive as well as keeping the partitions below 1024 cyls. What am I missing? Any ideas would be appreciated!
