When I try to build XFree86 this is the error I get: eddie# make build "Makefile", line 57: Could not find bsd.port.pre.mk "Makefile", line 63: Malformed conditional (${PORTOBJFORMAT} == "aout") "Makefile", line 63: Need an operator "Makefile", line 76: if-less endif "Makefile", line 76: Need an operator "Makefile", line 79: Could not find bsd.port.post.mk make: fatal errors encountered -- cannot continue What am I doing wrong? I know that I have seen posts about bsd.port.post.mk and bsd.port.pre.mk before but for the life of me I can't remember. Could someone please help? At the very least could you point me to some docs?
