One is a tool to update the ports tree on a system and the other is a tool to install or update installed ports, regardless of how the tree was updated. There are other non-deprecated ports that will continue to perform both functions. -- Kevin Oberman, Part time kid herder and retired Network Engineer E-mail: rkoberman@gmail.com PGP Fingerprint: D03FB98AFA78E3B78C1694B318AB39EF1B055683
