I have tried different redirect operators but no luck. Currently i'm using tcsh. example: prompt# portupgrade -aF >& /dev/null & [1] 713 prompt#j [1] + 713 Running portupgrade -aF >& /dev/null prompt#j [1] + 713 Suspended (tty output) portupgrade -aF >& /dev/null //regards _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: smart spam protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
