I use the same Window Manager that worked out of the box on my SunOS, Solaris, and FreeBSD 2.2 systems: mwm. Though I sometimes use twm, if only to scare my girlfriend. I do, however (unfortunately), use GNOME with Mwm these days. On my laptop, on my workstation-thing, on ... I run BSD, or occasionally IRIX or xMach, but that's beside the point. If only 5Dwm hadn't died off, and if only there was a good Toolchest in ports, I'd be totally content, even though I am stuck with 8bit colour on my lappy. I'm not "average user" but I do use BSD to get all my work done. And it works well. Saying that our LCD _must_+ be "dumb average user" is bad, aiming for it, however, is good. juli. -- Juli Mallett | FreeBSD: The Power To Serve Will break world for fulltime employment. | finger jmallett@FreeBSD.org To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-current" in the body of the message
