I am running 3.3-STABLE FreeBSD. I restarted the system and it gave me a dfs1f1d:> prompt. After this I followed the instructions: boot -s At the question about the shell to use I hit ENTER but got the following error: cannot open /.sd/.sh and then I got a hash prompt I performed the /sbin/fsck and had no errors then I did /sbin/mount -u / and when I did a /sbin/mount -a it complained of errors and asked to perform fsk on /var and /user. What do I do ? Please help. I can login as myself but not as root currently. Please help.
