i used gentoo
it's young and looks good
i would stick with debian for the time being because it's more stable .
gentoo will be the best linux around in a few months when it matures a bit
more .
( this is my IMHO of course ....)
rummer has it it is spoonsered by ibm and that's a good sign as well .
