Thank you. I've had 2 private replies and they have solved the problem.

I understand that this has recently been discussed on the list - and I apologise
for rehashing old ground (I just joined this morning - and I didn't see anything
in the archives before I posted. Obviously, I didn't look hard enough :(

Again, many thanks to those that have helped me.
