I don't do much patching and all that so I don't relay know what is needed here. If someone could possibly put together a small comprehensive installation with every step explained that would be great. I know that it take all the fun out of Un*x if you don't do it yourself but I have never played with that kind of stuff bye the way a splash screen would is a Great Idea. I think that this should be part of the standard install. who cares if it doesn't do palette rotation.
