Vonleigh Simmons <nospam@illusionart.com> was heard to say: > Nope, still no dice. Changed it back to mysql_enable but it still > won't start up on boot. Anyone have any other ideas of what it could > be? > I can't help you any further if you want to understand what's going wrong. However, if you just want mysqld to show up in your process list, swallow your pride and install the package. Works for me. regards, Markus -- Markus Hoenicka markus.hoenicka@cats.de (Spam-protected email: replace the quadrupeds with "mhoenicka") http://www.mhoenicka.de
