One of the things I learned a while back was that it's generally a good idea to not insult the people you are asking for help. :) Consider: ... If this turns out to be a FreeBSD problem it's something we should really look seriously at, since it affects the perceived reliability of the OS. Vs. what you wrote above. The short version is (and please try not to take this personally), you blamed us for your ignorance, and some of the people on this list don't take too kindly to that. Personally I learned to ignore stuff like that a long time ago. :) Another way to put it is that you are at stage two of learning to be a good sysadmin. Stage one: Thinks he knows everything. Stage two: Actually starts to learn something. Stage three: Starts to realize just how much he doesn't know. Stage four: Starts to actually know something. Stage five: Starts to learn how to use what he knows. There are plenty of people around who are willing to help you get past Stage two, you just need to, what was it you said.... oh yes... "Chill out." Doug -- "So, the cows were part of a dream that dreamed itself into existence? Is that possible?" asked the student incredulously. The master simply replied, "Mu."
