i'm using sysinstall, and when i commit, it says that it is creating the = root directory, but it just hangs there, about 3 hours so far, with the hdd li= ght on, but the hardrives aren't doing anything. i am installing from a pion= eer ide dvd-rom (i have also tried using my hp cdr drive, same thing) to a ma= xtor udma66 drive. i've rtfm, but am unable to find anything similar, or a solution. alt-f2 or alt-f4 don't do anything, so i cannot say if i am getting any errors. thanks in advance joshua Joshua Smith, CCNA Data Center Technian USA.NET joshua.smith@corp.usa.net "Walk with me through the Universe, And along the way see how all of us are Connected.
