Basically, it works with linux-firefox and you can get sound if you follow the intructions at http://labs.adobe.com/wiki/index.php/Flash_Player:Additional_Interface_Support_for_Linux You need to compile a file on a linux box and install the resulting libflashsupport.so in /compat/linux/usr/lib Flash9 is very unstable though, so you'll probably want to stay with flash7 for now.
