hi, i briefly browsed through FAQ and handbook but didn't find an answer to my question. i'm new to FreeBSD. basically i have a installation problem: after the initial installtion of 3.0 i decided to go for some instereting packages such as "games:)" etc... but it looks like anything that is X related couldn't be successfully installed (aborted) because pkg_add seems trying to locate a package named "XFree86-3.3.2" but without luck. i did install and configure the XFree86 stuff and the Xwin system is working on my desktop. any help and insight on how i can get around this would be greatly appreciated. by the way i just noticed that release 2.2.8 is using XFree86-3.3.3 whereas 3.0 is using XFree86-3.3.2. interesting. thanks. yu chen ychen@nctr.fda.gov To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
