We recently took out the exec cmd functionality from apache 1.3 by
modifying the apache source to be able to prevent people from using a form
that writes HTML to a page to execute commands on the server (since HTML
pages are server-parsed). There are a number of users whose pages are
server parsed using exec cgi and this functionality needs to stay in. We
know about includes no exec and this won't work for us.

We are running apache 1.3 and FreeBSD 2.2.6-STABLE with proftpd.

Has anyone else done this and if so have you had any problems?

Jerry
