Ok, I can set this value in the kernel, but I would like to find out what is
the m_clalloc function doing and what does increasing NMBCLUSTERS actually
do?

What is the cause of the problem? Too much i/o over the network interface?

Thanks

it simply mean what it says. try increasing NMBCLUSTERS value in kernel
config (found in /sys/i386/conf) and recompile the kernel (and reboot)
