Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG Hi, I hope this is the right place to ask this. I just installed freebsd 3.2 on my micron dial PII and it kicks! I was running linux but found it very unstable on this machine, and the later kernels don't even boot. NT runs fine though, so I figured I'd try freebsd as I need to run a unix at home. Everything was _much_ easier to install and configure and the docs are excellent! It all looks good except for one thing: whenever I get ppp running, the system hangs about 40 seconds after a connection gets established. This is true of both user and kernel ppp. The system is very stable otherwise though. Has anyone seen this behaviour or have any clue as to the cause? Thanks in advance, -- Richard G.
