Updated & installed KDE 3.2 on two machines 10 & 19th Feb 2004, second machine using AMD processor and ports/x11/nvidia-driver both times core dumps when I execute kdm. Same with both nvidia and nv XFree86 drivers.
e.g.:
kernel: pid 13392 (kdm_greet), uid 0: exited on signal 11 (core dump)
kdm: :0[13387]: Abnormal termination of greeter for display :0, code 0, signal 75
