At a critical point in this work, I start hitting `ld' bugs (fixed in the 4/10 import) on the i386. The Alpha `ld' was not core dumping on the same bits as the i386. So I did all the work on the DS-10. It would have driven me crazy to do this on a Beast.freebsd.org generation machine.
