Yup, I only changed the -m486 to -mpentium, leaving the
ASM_I486 defined...
And, since you sort of mentioned it, I've tried disabling it,
which is even more disastrous...
rc5-client-freebsd (the binary) does ~128500keys/sec
client (-mpentium compiled w/pgcc-current) does ~58816keys/sec
