Of course it goes without saying that I can mount CD-Roms without a hitch at all. from dmesg: ahc0: <Adaptec 2940 Ultra2 SCSI adapter> rev 0x00 int a irq 9 on pci0.10.0 ahc0: aic7890/91 Wide Channel A, SCSI Id=3D7, 16/255 SCBs ... cd0 at ahc0 bus 0 target 3 lun 0 cd0: <MATSHITA CD-R CW-7503 1.09> Removable CD-ROM SCSI-2 device cd0: 10.000MB/s transfers (10.000MHz, offset 8) cd0: Attempt to query device size failed: NOT READY, Medium not present - tray closed ------------------ there should be a "pass0" probe here ------------------ %cdrecord -v speed=3D4 dev=3D0,3,0 ardent.raw Cdrecord 1.8 (i386-unknown-freebsd4.0) Copyright (C) 1995-2000 J=F6rg Schilling TOC Type: 1 =3D CD-ROM cdrecord: No such file or directory.
