After compiling the new ppp beta for FreeBSD-2.2.6 RELEASE, I encountered the following /var/log/messages errors when trying to run it with aliasing enabled. Jun 1 22:46:47 capr ppp[2037]: Warning: _PATH_ALIAS_PREFIX (/usr/lib/libalias.so.2.*): Invalid lib: Undefined symbol "_PunchFWHole" in ppp:/usr/lib/libalias.so.2.5 Jun 1 22:46:47 capr ppp[2037]: Warning: Cannot load alias library Jun 1 22:47:57 capr ppp[2041]: Warning: _PATH_ALIAS_PREFIX (/usr/lib/libalias.so.2.*): Invalid lib: Undefined symbol "_PunchFWHole" in ppp:/usr/lib/libalias.so.2.5 Jun 1 22:47:57 capr ppp[2041]: Warning: Cannot load alias library After these errors, IP aliasing did not work. I checked my libalias library, and it was current to the beta build. Is this a known problem with the new ppp. I thought I changed all the relevant ppp.conf options, but I could be wrong. The command I use to invoke ppp is ppp -auto -alias demand Any ideas? Brian?
