Is the complaint that things don't get fixed quickly enough? Compared to what other real-world OS? I may be misremembering, but as I recall one of the symptoms was a reboot with no panic. I don't mean to be insulting, but are you quite sure that power is not involved? I see things like that when my UPS battery has gone bad, and any slight dip in line voltage causes the UPS to switch but the battery gives nothing. And I can't count the number of times I've had power hits in a telco server room. I apologize in advance if I've confused your problem with somebody else's.
