Subject: Urgent: Trouble installing AVM Fritz!Card PCI
Message-ID: <200012140204.DAA65499@rosa.physik.TU-Berlin.DE>

I can't get running a new AVM Fritz!Card PCI under FreeBSD R4.2.
At startup (dmesg) I get

isic0: <AVM Fritz!Card PCI> at device 10.0 on pci0
avma1pp0: couldn't map IO port
device_probe_and_attach: isic0 attach returned 6
.
.
i4btel: 2 ISDN telephony interface device(s) attached
i4brbch: 4 raw B channel access device(s) attached
i4bipr: 4 IP over raw HDLC ISDN device(s) attached (VJ header compression)
.
.
i4bctl: ISDN system control port attached
i4btrc: 4 ISDN trace device(s) attached
.
i4bisppp: 4 ISDN SyncPPP device(s) attached
IPv6 packet filtering initialized, unlimited logging
i4b: ISDN call control device attached
.
.
device_probe_and_attach: isic0 attach returned 6
isic0: <AVM Fritz!Card PCI> at device 10.0 on pci0
avma1pp0: couldn't map IO port
device_probe_and_attach: isic0 attach returned 6

As expected the trial to start isdnd fails:
Dec 14 08:55:09 server isdnd[310]: ERR init_controller: no ISDN controller found!
Dec 14 08:55:09 server isdnd[310]: DMN daemon terminating, exitval = 1

What's going on? What could be wrong? It's a system with an Asus A7V
mainbord. The same card is running fine on an other system with almost the
same kernel configuration under R4.0. You can find the complete dmesg output
below.

Because I have to deliever the system at Friday far away from me and I urgently
need remote access I would be very thankful, if someone could give me a hint quickly.

Thank you very much
   Jan
