Then I started having problems accessing some sites on the net...even my own (hosted elsehwere). I tried setting up ipfw and natd so that I could use the tcpmssd but just couldn't get it to work. I read that a newer release of FreeBSD and PPP has this fix built in via 'enable tcpmssfixup' in the ppp.conf file. http://renaud.waldura.com/doc/freebsd-pppoe/#pmtu If it's possible, I'd much rather update my version of ppp rather than fool with ipfw and tcpmssd. My questions: Where would I go to update ppp to a newer version? How do I tell what version of ppp I am using currently? And what version of ppp includes the fix I need? I see 'ppp-nt' in the ports/net dir...would that update to the newest version of ppp? Any help would be greatly appreciated -randy ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ r a n d y / sesser@mac.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
