Really a nice useful script.
I was already in use temptation to use the script as follows.

.if ${OSVERSION} < 90...
.if exists(${PORTSDIR}/Tools/scripts/dialogwrapper.sh)
DIALOG=${PORTSDIR}/Tools/scripts/dialogwrapper.sh
.endif
.endif

And use additional two different files for the description :)
