To: freebsd-mobile@FreeBSD.ORG MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/plain; CHARSET=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-mobile@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Folks: I got a number of responses to my question about device timeouts while using the Adaptec 1460A SlimSCSI device; most asked me if I had checked termination and cabling. Yes, the bus is properly terminated, with the last device in the chain providing termination power. Windows has no trouble accessing the attached SCSI devices, so I believe that the hardware is not the problem. To recap: the card is recognized as aic0 by the PAO-980430 PCMCIA drivers, gets attached properly, and manages to locate all SCSI devices. But every time I try to access a SCSI device, I get a long delay, and ultimately a SCSI timeout message on the console. Laptop is a Toshiba 440CDT. Again, any help in diagnosing the problem would be greatly appreciated. -David To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
