Hello.

I'm evaluating buying a new monitor, since the one I'm using looks
willing to die.
I searched a lot before posting, but while the "generic" information is
confusing, it's hard to find FreeBSD-specific facts.

Is there a way I can be sure a certain resolution will be supported by
my graphic card?

Specifically, I've got a Radeon card integrated on my mother board:

> # pciconf -lv
> ...
> vgapci0@pci0:1:5:0: class=0x030000 card=0x17041565 chip=0x97101002 rev=0x00 hdr=0x00

> [ 129.711] (II) RADEON(0): Output VGA-0 using initial mode 1600x1200

Contrary to what is stated above, my MB does not have an HDMI connector,
only D-SUB and DVI (DVI-D I believe).

Is it possible that HDMI from the logs mean DVI on my board?
Or is DVI not show because it's unsupported?

What will be the maximum supported resolution (via D-SUB or via DVI)?

Will I be able to run at 1920x1200? Via D-SUB or via DVI?

  bye & Thanks
	av.
