This is just a suggestion from somebody unfamiliar with the implementation, but maybe it would be feasible to detect the ccache permissions before starting a run, and ejecting with an error if the ownership is wrong. Maybe you only need to check the 16 (0,1, .. F) directories and that would be sufficient. Just an idea ... John
