Quick answer: do /not/ disable device sc0, which appears to conflict with the PS mouse. sc0 is the system console. It's OK for that conflict to exist. everybody who is conscientous and has a PS2 style mouse gets bit here. I did. You did. Two other dudes today did :) > When building kernel, it keeps detecting SCSI cards and every network > card. I have neither. You mean /booting/? This is unclear. > I disabled my IOMega Ditto drive. Then nothing. It's dead. No, it's not ;) See above. It's really waiting for you to tell it what to do, but the console has been disabled. (It thinks you have a terminal on a serial line, but you don't). Just restart, and don't disable sc0. > When I pass over the kernel setup screen I get a screen full of vanilla > text. It's the 3.2 GB I hope this goes away when you re-setup the kernel with sc0 left in. Dave -- Sancho Panza: `Microsoft Windows NT Server is the most secure network operating system available.'
