It's relatively important to know that only the DOS-version, and only P14 (and below, probably) allows cross-flashing HBAs). The tutorials don't really say that, they kind-of assume that you will use the DOS-binaries anyway. In my IT-career, I've really only touched DOS a very small amount of time. Imagine my aversion at creating a DOS boot-disk ;-)
