I'm tyring to build a DrawBridge packet filter. The first step is to install FreeBSD 2.2.8 on a clean box.
The Box I am using is an old '486 which does not have a CD. I intend to install via FTP from an existing FreeBSD system. But I'm not getting that far.
After the kernel configuration I get several screens of hardware information ending with:

lnc0 not probed due to I/O address conflict with ed0 at 0x280
ze0 not found at 0x300
zp0 not found at 0x300
npx0 flags 0x1 on motherboard
upx0: INT 16 interface
changing root device to fd0s4c
rootfs is 1440 Kbyte compiled in MFS

At this point everything simply stops. I don't know why ore what to do to get it past this point. Can anyone give me a hint?

Unfortunatly I'm having temporary e-mail problems and can not handle much volume at this time so I am not on the list right now, so please cc any replies to me at edk@null.net.

Thank you very much for any help,

    -EdK
