This is a holy war but I can only suggest qmail which got only one disadvantage over sendmail (or is it postfix now??) which is that it isn't installed by default on FreeBSD. Else: - - qmail is very stable, it's THE daemon we NEVER have problem unless we change the running system ;-) - - qmail is secure. There haven't been any security breaches since qmail came up. (look at http://cr.yp.to/qmail/guarantee.html) - - qmail is fast, probably faster than sendmail - - qmail is easier to configure - - qmail NEVER loses any mails - - qmail works reliably even over NFS Best regards, Gabriel ÌŒ´0ô2 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGP 6.5i iQEVAwUBO3v0TMZa2WpymlDxAQHywAf+Kp+sB79p6gNZUFM6WK/bIONvT9Ipxhnb sjw+oUpbuphtkvKDTENvIVZlbw+4Gwdzz44LpgCxePPpQ+pPIamXylNtJioR9y0q txsClT4Jwo6Tb6Dd1fxg6+46+GBmsXp6ppGeDm9IOOEYOGXcdhKptTMWopWt4PVA g/ZgZSbTO8rntBMK4+0OqjcjrPTtnk8YLoSkbHbXVNeeyFGljUYkypDycdiC+IZU rz/ofzb4AFIcZPiyusNeaP5OaTrgE5cHnbRkk8UV8wkCTx4jT+T0DhKT1xKUVRWI Lx5/kkEsHrRm6cgd2mN6LO9fJnIg8hOoC/I3Rdri3W3rw3h+NZIJFA== =R9jf -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
