I have recently installed freebsd4.0 on my Ibm thinkpad 600E. Freebsd =
picks up my pcmcia ethernet card (3com FE574B), but it is running really =
slow. How does one disable the auto detection and force the card to run =
at a specified speed (i.e. 10/100; Half/Full Duplex)?
My second question is how does one cofigure sound? I can get error beeps =
but I am unable to play cds or other audio files. Any help will be very =
greateful.=20

Thanks=20
Pete
